Dune is a sci-fi saga based on the classic book series of the same name written by Frank Herbert. Denis Villeneuve is an Academy Award winner French-Canadian director who has proven his worth in movies like Blade Runner 2049 and Arrival. Dune's first trailer is a sight to behold with space ships, never-ending deserts, and space monsters.
The official synopsis for Dune is, “Dune, tells the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence—a commodity capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential—only those who can conquer their fear will survive."

Dune will hit theaters on December 18, 2020. It was pushed because of the Tenet box office performance, as it wasn't as high as expected.
